Our Technology
DisasterCare Platinum’s bespoke position in the marketplace comes from its highly skilled, competent people - all using advanced technology in the correct application. Some examples of how we work to bring technology to the fore are included below.
Systemised Drying - The ISDŽ Approach
ISDŽ stands for Intelligent Systemised Drying. The majority of water damage properties in the UK are dried using refrigerant dehumidifiers and air movers or fans that increase evaporation. The ISD SystemŽ is a revolutionary new concept designed to bridge the gap between the policy holder and restoration technician during the period when the technician is not on site. A simple to use remote monitoring system, means the customer can effectively monitor the drying conditions in their property ensuring that their technician and the drying regime in place is working effectively to reduce drying time.
Benefits:
-
Faster drying
-
Increased customer satisfaction
-
Allows constant monitoring 24/7
-
Ensures efficient equipment usage - the right amount of equipment on each job
-
Ability to audit every drying job, every time
-
A simple yet highly scientific solution
Research & Development
There is a constant evolution of equipment and techniques which both influence speed and the cost of claims. In particular, the USA and Europe are hot beds of new invention. To benefit from these new innovations, we work closely with The National Flood School, which is renowned across the UK for its work in improving the restoration of flood and fire damaged homes.
An element of the National Flood School’s work is assessing new equipment and processes. Equipment which appears to have merit is tested at the National Flood School’s own testing facility – the Flood House.
This is a purpose built House which can be flooded with up to 1500 gallons of water at any one time. The Flood House is the only one of its kind in Europe and has been independently assessed by the IICRC (Institution of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification). Once the NFS is confident in the advantages of the item, it releases the information to DisasterCare Platinum, who then implement its use, where appropriate.
